Given the transformations taking place in the world and the increasing role of information technology and the need for social media in our lives as a means of communication, distance education and distance learning, we need to focus more on raising public awareness in the media environment.
We use the Internet every day, use our social media accounts, we read a variety of content and we need to be protected, for a long time, in this unfamiliar environment.
The webinar covered the following topics:
- Social media and their protection tools,
- Information flows and filtering useful content on the Internet,
- How to identify fake Facebook accounts and avoid them?
- Types of Media Manipulations և Psychological Pressure Tools,
- Free work tools for distance learning and distance education,
- Some information security issues.

About the speaker:
Alexander Martirosyan has joined the HLA team since 2020. Since 2011 he has been involved in the programs of the Eurasia Partnership Foundation, and since 2018 he has worked in the EPF office. Alexander has 8 years of experience in the public sphere, worked at the Armenian Center for Human Rights after AD Sakharov as a media communication expert, was involved in media promotion in the media, created blogs and websites, and worked at the KAZA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation. As a Media and Oral Communication Expert, Coordinator of the Program Management Program at the Armenian Association of the United Nations. Alexander is a journalist by profession.
