On June 25, at 12:00 the Media Center hosted a Panel Discussion on the announcement disseminated by online mass media recently. The editors-in-chief of 15 online mass media propose signing under rules of collaboration.
On June 12, 13:00 the Media Center hosted a Press Conference on “Hayk Movsisyan Case”. Hayk Movsisyan died at Nagorno Karabakh, Shoushi penitentiary and his mother has not been acknowledged as his legal successor yet.
On June 7, 10:30 the Media Center hosted a Press Conference on Aarhus Convention’s Compliance Committee decision on exploitation of Teghout copper-molybdenum mine according to which Armenia has violated the Article 9 of the Convention by dismissing the appeal of Ecodar environmental NGO.
On June 6 the Media Center hosted a Panel Discussion on the advocates strike called on June 11 and 12. On the mentioned dates the advocates will not participate in any investigative activities, will not attend the sittings of the court thus expressing their disapproval of the Court of Cassation decisions on the admission of the applications.
On May 31, 11:00 am the Media Center hosted a Panel Discussion on 'Tobacco Advertising, Promotion and Sponsorship in Armenia' organized by the American University of Armenia (AUA) - School of Public Heath in cooperation with Armenian Volunteer Corps.
On May 6, at 2 p.m., Media Center hosted representatives of non-governmental and media organizations, which were on joint observer mission at the 464 polling stations of the 13 election districts, monitoring the voting process. They made a joint statement presenting a preliminary summary of the May 5 municipal ballot.
On May 2, at noon, Media Center hosted a discussion-press-conference with participation of NGO representatives observing the electoral processes and the campaign period of the Yerevan City Council Elections.
On April 30, at 3 p.m., Media Center hosted a discussion-press-conference “Violence against Reporters in Election Period”. Speakers included Ashot Melikyan, Chairman of the Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression, Gevorg Hayrapetyan, lawyer at the Freedom of Information Center of Armenia, reporters Hripsime Jebejyan (www.aravot.am), Hakob Karapetyan (www.ilur.am) and Elina Chilingaryan (www.azatutyun.am), whose professional duties were obstructed in the election period.
On April 30, at noon, Media Center hosted a Panel Discussion/Press Conference titled “Candidates' Perspectives on Education in Yerevan City and Suggested Solutions”, with participation of party representatives running for the city council, among them Artak Aghbalyan (ARF), Anahit Bakhshyan (Barev Yerevan), David Muradyan (Mission), Julieta Tadevosyan (OEK), Tamar Poghosyan (PAP), as well as Satenik Mkrtchyan, junior scientific worker at the National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography.
