Last week, Hakob Hakobyan, Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs, member of the RPA faction, told the Zhoghovurd Daily, “The poor spend little, and consequently, the increase of prices brings to the fact that the poor will have to spontaneously avoid expensive goods. The state policy is that if inflation can hit the poor, they should be protected. Now there is no need for the state to address it. Poor people have the habit of avoiding buying expensive goods.”
One of the most pressing issues in the Armenian energy system is the non-transparent and illogical formation of the gas price for the consumer. Officially, Russia sells gas to Armenia at $ 150 per 1,000 cubic meters but the final consumer pays almost twice more - $ 290.

A discussion dedicated to World AIDS Day was held at Media Center on December 1 aith the participation of Hovhannes Madoyan, Chairman of “Real World, Real People” NGO, Eduard Hovhannisyan, Doctor-Epidemiologist at Epidemiology Surveillance Department of the Republican Center for AIDS Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, and Arusyak Poghosyan, Head of Project Implementation Service of the Armenian Youth Foundation.
During the discussion entitled “Students and Labor Market: Professional Orientation Issues and Labor Market Requirements” held at Media Center on November 16, Misha Tadevosyan, Member of Education Civic Initiative, Education Expert, speaking about the transfer of knowledge in the higher education system and the demands of the labor market, underlined the ideology of “outdated knowledge”.
According to the RA Police, from 2007 to 2016, 25624 road accidents were registered in the republic, which resulted in 3267 deaths and the number of injured people was 36 023. If we compare the numbers of 2016 with 2007, the number of victims has decreased by 104, the number of injured has increased by 1731, and the number of road accidents has increased by 1260.
