On December 22, 2014 the Gavar Court, as provided in Part 1, Article 119 of the RA Criminal Code, convicted and subsequently granted amnesty to Hasmik Khachatryan’s husband Sargis Hakobyan. The latter is the son of well-known fortune-teller Varsik.
The Advanced Public Research Group (APR Group) has conducted qualitative and quantitative research on the proposed constitutional reforms intended to provide estimates concerning Armenians’ expectations from the coming constitutional reforms, as well as identify the current issues and omissions.
Armenia has recorded an increase in the identification of sexually transmitted infections and HIV cases. As of December 1, 2014 305 HIV cases are identified in the country. Armenia will present its Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in Geneva on January 22, 2015. The UPR defines the human rights performance of Armenia.

The pension reform bill enacted on July 1 this year sparked complaints among young lecturers and researchers.
According to the data Armen Ashotyan, Minister of Education and Science, published on November 12, 120 young lecturers and researchers out of 470 have already resigned․The other 350 are expecting the problem to be resolved soon.
The indignation is aroused by the interim provisions of the pension reform according to which public sector workers born after January 1, 1974 cannot waive the obligation of making pension contributions.
