Yerevan is losing its face as ancient buildings in the center of the city are being demolished. Demolition of buildings and ancient underground wine cellars on Pushkin, Abovyan and Aram streets, along with the construction of multifunctional buildings in these territories, damages not only the architectural view of Yerevan but also its attractiveness for tourism and wine industry. Representatives of tour operators and wine industry stated this at the Media Center conference held on 19 February.

The constitutional referendum held on December the 6th was conducted with very rude violations. Together with its violations, large extent of stuffing, abuse of administrative resources the referendum cannot be considered legitimate and fulfilled. Members of the ''Citizen- Observer'' and civil society representatives, who had carried out an observation mission on the referendum day at about 520 polling stations spoke on the violations observed.

It’s already long time that no real and qualitative economic growth was recorded in Armenia. 3,1% indicator of economic activity for 2015 published by the National Statistical Service (NSS) does not seem reliable. However, even if the economic activity indicator were 7%, no significant positive development would be recorded within the general population, taking into account the social polarization, high level of monopolization in the economy and unequal distribution of revenues.
