“We need to talk about conservation, not demolition. The problem of Zvartnots has to be solved in legal environment and the cultural component should be emphasized. None of the managers will think about this. It would be wrong to assume that someone else would solve the problem in our stead,” architect Zohrab Bauer stated at a discussion dedicated to the problem of Zvartnots airport’s old terminal demolition, held by the Media Center on February 14.
“Armenian mass media has little hate speech - 1%: online media, unfortunately, is the leader in the dissemination of hate speech, which is mainly political by nature, Ashot Melikyan, President of Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression NGO, said today during the discussion on ''Hate speech in Armenian mass media'' held at the Media Center.
"There are concrete pressures in schools and kindergartens. The workers are forced to choose the pension funds. Today a press conference was held at the Media Center by Dem.am Initiative on pension funds illegally forced to the state employees.

"Shant and Freedom" Fund was founded in order to support families who are persecuted for their political views.
"There are 15 political prisoners: Shant, his friends, and fighter by the name of Volodya Avetisyan. They have families and children who are in need of moral and material support," said the foundation's founder Felix Hayrapetyan at the conference in the Media Center.

Imprisonment has a worse impact on women than on men. 80% of imprisoned women face psychic disorders; they are more frequently stigmatized than men. Besides, husbands of imprisoned women pay them less visits in places of detention than women do.
