The most common violation during the parliamentary election campaign was the participation of officials and employees of state institutions in the meetings of the ruling parties, especially the meetings with the Republican candidates, during working hours. Varujan Hoktanyan, Project Director of Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center, said this during the press conference on the topic of “Abuse of Administrative Resources in the Parliamentary Elections 2017: Monitoring Results” at Media Center on March 29.
The press conference interview of Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, entitled “Observations and Assessments about the Pre-Election Processes”, was held at Media Center on March 28.
The Press Conference of “Citizen Observer” Initiative was hosted by Media Center on March 27 during which the preparatory activities of the observers and the appealing system of electoral violations during the Parliamentary Elections were introduced.
Political parties participating in the elections in Armavir region mainly targeted at agricultural issues, from the improvement of irrigation system to the increase of efficiency and productivity in rural economies.
Political parties and alliances participating in the elections mainly focus on fighting against corruption, security and the resolution of social and economic problems in their programs and campaign promises both on the national and local levels.
A discussion entitled “Assessments and Observations about the Campaign” was held at Media Center on March 22.

Before the Parliamentary Elections in 2017, Media Center hosts the individuals who conducted observation missions in Armenia to make their experience and the recorded violations public as well as to make recommendations for the beginner observers.
