The Number of STI Cases Increases in Armenia and Region

Armenia has recorded an increase in the identification of sexually transmitted infections and HIV cases. As of December 1, 2014 305 HIV cases are identified in the country. The statistics was presented by Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, coordinator at the Anonymous Consultation and Test Service of the Medical Scientific Center of Dermatology and STI, RA MoH.

Since sexually transmitted infections may lead to problems with the reproduction abilities, the speaker said, even one case is too problematic for a country like Armenia.
