“International Day of Democracy: Obstacles and Challenges of Democracy Establishment in Armenia”

September 15 marks International Day of Democracy.
The day was set by the UN General Assembly in 2007. The date is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the first international conference of new and restored democracies, which was celebrated in 2008. The United Nations has offered states, as well as regional, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, to adopt a new holiday as an opportunity to pay attention to the state of democracy in the world.
