Marina Ohanyan, Associate Professor at the Department of Family Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University, Co-President of the Academic Family Medicine Association, presented “Educational Program about the Prevention of Tortures for Doctors” during the press conference at Media Center, ahead of the International Day against Torture. “This project was launched at Yerevan State Medical University on November 1, 2015 and during these 8 months we already have a very efficient and good image. It aims to prevent torture and to increase doctors' awareness of effective documentation. To implement the project, a group was formed, consisting of experts in various fields - lawyers, psychologists, doctors, forensic doctor, the family doctor and the Ombudsman Office expert. The group's goal was to transfer the knowledge and skills that are important in the world as a torture prevention,” the speaker said.
