Press conference: Ambassador of Brazil in Armenia

Only 10 Armenian citizens will be traveling to Brazil to attend the 20th FIFA World Cup Brazil. The Embassy of Brazil in Armenia has so far received and processed 10 visa applications, all of which are approved, with two visa applicants winning a World Cup tour and one applicant going to assist the organizers as a volunteer.

‘The World Cup will be held in 12 largest cities throughout Brazil. Actually, the spending during the championship is expected to contribute to the increase of workplaces and tourism development. In total, we hope to generate revenue equal to 30 billion reais,’ stated H.E. Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Armenia at the Media Center hosted press conference.
